Wait. Wouldn’t that be cool…if I really could make confetti fly out at you when you opened this post? Where are those techy-tech computer geeks when you need ’em?
I hope you had a really, really special holiday season. As my boys have gotten older the holidays have really changed for us, but I’m doing surprisingly well with that.
(I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned it here, but I spent the first half of my life longing to be a momma. Not a ballerina or a nurse or a lion tamer like every other girl, but a momma. Interestingly enough, those visions of motherhood only contained babies…not actual big kids…or men. So yea, the more facial hair that appears on my kids, the weirder I get.)
Anyway, I just wanted to drop you a quick note and say HI! I’VE MISSED YOU! I HOPE YOU’RE DOING SO WELL!
And also, I’ve been planning some home improvements. Framing plain-jane bathroom mirrors, new living room furniture (really, so many boys have slept on my couches over the years that you almost hit the floor when you sit down!), getting rid of the bunk beds that have accommodated all three of our boys and getting Little a big bed… I may have been daydreaming of a way to move my laundry room, too. That part is a secret, though. My husband’s head may fall off his shoulders when he hears about that one.
But that’s not all! Changes for my bloggy home are coming, too! I think Five Things Friday has run it’s course, so it will be replaced with Foto Friday (which will coincide with my 52-week photo challenge – more on that later). Maybe I’ll have a Three Things Thursday to replace it…but it won’t be a weekly event. I’m hoping for a fresh, new look too.
And I can’t wait to tell you about my one word for 2016. If you haven’t jumped on the One Word project yet, now is a great time. It is soooooo much better than making resolutions! I stopped doing resolutions several years back because, let’s face it…I have plenty of opportunities to fall short of expectations without adding more.
I’ll see you back here soon.
